  Lela B. Opel, 79, of Salisbury, died Feb. 26, 1985, Meyersdale Community 
  Hospital.  Born Jan. 19, 1906, in Elk Lick Township, daughter of the late 
  Charles, G. and Margaret (Yommer) Durst.  Preceded in death by her husband, 
  Lester L.  Survived by a son, Lee, of Salisbury RD 1; and a daughter, Mrs. Carol 
  Maust, Star Route, Springs; also four grandchildren.  She was a member of St. 
  John's Lutheran Church, Salisbury; Salisbury Fireman's Auxiliary; Fifth Society 
  of Farm Women; Senior Citizens of Meyersdale.  Friends will be received 2-4 and 
  7-9 p.m. Thursday at the Thomas Funeral Home, Salisbury, where funeral services 
  will be held Friday 2 p.m., the Rev. David E. Fetter.  Interment, Salisbury 
  Cemetery.
