OPEL Mrs. Margaret J. Opel, 67, wife of John Opel, died Wednesday night at her home west of Grantsville. She had been in ill health for some time. Mrs. Opel was born at Lonaconing, a daughter of the late Henry and Margaret Zehner. She resided in Garrett County most of her life and belonged to St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Cove. Surviving besides her husband are six daughters - Misses Alma, Esther and Claudine Opel, at home; Mrs. Carlos Weidenheft, Sandusky, O.; Mrs. Walter Harmon, Accident, and Mrs. Carl Boltz, Pittsburgh. Also surviving are three brothers - Leonard Zehner of Akron, O.; the Rev. Louis Zehner, Ridgeville Corners, O., and Henry Zehner, Garfield, Minn.; a sister, Mrs. Frank Margroff, Akron, and eight grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted Saturday afternoon at the St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Cove, with the Rev. A. Franke officiating. Interment was made in the Cove Cemetery.
