  WILLIAM H. OPEL
  
  William H. Opel, 89, Meyersdale Community Hospital. 
  He was born March 18, 1892, in Elk Lick Township, a son of the late Henry and 
  Savilla (Gnagey) Opel.  Also preceded in death by his wife, Ella Witt, and two 
  sons, Ross and Donald.  He is survived by these children: Leroy of LaGrange, 
  Ohio; Clark of Wilmington, Ohio; George of Oberlin, Ohio; Doris, wife of George 
  Martin, Meyersdale RD 3; and Mrs. Elelyn Shaw of Frostburg, Md.; 15 
  grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren.  He was a brother of Mrs. Elizabeth Maust 
  of Lewisville, Ohio.  He was a retired farmer. 
  Friends were received at the Leckemby Funeral Home, Meyersdale, where services 
  were held with the Rev. Walter Fike officiating.  Interment, Union Cemetery.
