Born Nov. 25, 1918 in New York City, N.Y., a daughter of Margaret Alicoque Connor. Preceded in death by parents; husband Theodore Hilton "Ted" Oppegard who died May 11, 1991; brothers: Jackie, Joseph, and Michael Conner and sister Margaret Spaulding. Survived by children: Ted H. Oppegard Jr. of Somerset, Tony Oppegard of Lexington, Ky., Sue M. Oppegard of New York City, NY.; grandchildren: Elizabeth Marteeny, Ariana, Laura, Aaron and Ryan Oppegard; great-grandchildren, Chandler and Preston Marteeny and sister, Marion Lorenz of New York City, N.Y. Member of St. Peter's Catholic Church, Somerset Welfare League where she was past president, life long member of Somerset Country Club. Also formerly on the board of directors of Somerset Hospital. Friends received 7-9 pm Friday and 11:30 am to 1:30 pm Saturday at the Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home, Somerset. Funeral Mass will be conducted 2 p.m. Saturday at St. Peters Catholic Church, Somerset with the Monsignor Samuel J. Tomasilli Celebrant. Committal, Somerset County Memorial Park.
