Orendorf was born Sept. 23, 1924, in Grantsville. He was the son of the late Charles and Rozella (Fazenbaker) Orendorf. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Raymond; and a sister, Mary. He is survived by his wife, Clarabelle (Flanagan) Orendorf; two sons: Olen Orendorf, Jr.; and Oren Orendorf; a daughter, Carollee Uphold, and her husband, Raymond; and two grandsons: David Raymond and Daniel Scott Uphold, all of Grantsville; and Freda Lockamy, New Oxford, Pa. Orendorf was a retired detailer and bus driver for Casselman Motor Co., Grantsville. He was formerly employed in the timber industry and was a retired minister. Orendorf was also an active member of the Jennings Church of God and was a charter member of the Bittinger Volunteer Fire Department. A U.S. Army veteran of World War II, he served in Okinawa and other places and received several decorations for service. Friends were received Jan. 9 at the Newman Funeral Home in Grantsville. Services were conducted Jan. 10 at the funeral home, with Rev. George Plants officiating. Interment, Grantsville Cemetery.
