  ORLIDGE

    Arthur L. Orlidge, 96, of 207 Ottawa St., Johnstown, formerly of
  Shanksville, died Dec. 18, 1995, at Arbutus Park Manor.  Born Aug. 19, 1899,
  in North Braddock, son of Alfred Edgar and Annie (Brown) Orlidge.  Preceded
  in death by parents; his wife, the former Levenia Haire; three brothers and
  three sisters.  Survived by son, Dr. Arthur E., married to the former Mary
  Kail Hoffman of Shanksville; grandchildren: Leslie, married to the former
  Kimber Leigh Volkmar, Cynthia Kail Orlidge and Jennifer Anne Scranton;
  great-grandchildren: Jessica and Julia Orlidge, Ashley and Rebecca
  Scranton.  He was a retired mathematics teacher in the Shanksville-Stonycreek
  and Rockwood high schools.  He was a graduate of Westinghouse Tech High
  School, Shenandoah and Otterbein colleges.  He was a member of the
  Shanksville United Methodist Church and a World War I Army veteran.  
    Family will receive friends from 2 to 4  and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at  Deaner
  Funeral Home, Stoystown, where service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Rev.
  Doug Burns.  Interment, Somerset County Memorial Park.  Memorial contributions
  may be given to the Shanksville United Methodist Church, Shanksville, Pa.,
  15560.
