Ort, Lewis J.

  Among recent deaths in this vicinity is that of Lewis J. Ort in a Cumberland 
hospital. Mention of his illness is in another column. He spent his early life 
in Berlin, this county. Other deaths are: Mrs. Nancy Frank, at Ligonier, and 
Frank J. Airsman, Lincoln Township.

  The body of Lewis Ort who died in the Allegany Hospital in Cumberland was 
brought to Berlin on Feb. 27 and was buried in the I. O. O. F. Cemetery. Funeral 
services were held at the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. George Ort. The 
sermon was preached by the Rev. Burkholder, of the Lutheran Church and by the 
pastor of Mr. Ort's church at Midland. Mr. Ort is survived by his wife and the 
following children: John, Frank, and Clarence, Walter and Annie, by his parents 
and by four sisters and one brother.
