Born July 13, 1922 in Windber, son of Daniel W. and Bertha (Heckler) Ott. Preceded in death by parents, and brothers, Lester and Rayman. Survived by wife, the former Mildred Shankle and these children: Carol F., wife of Jonathan Adock, Catonsville, Md.; and Larry W., married to the former Gloria Lampel, and Marvin E., both of Ott Road, Hollsopple. Seven grandchildren: Michelle, Vicki, Jennifer, Clinton, Joshua, Ashley, and Justin, and a great-grandson, James. Brother of Ruby Rummel, Hollsopple, and Elsie Shankle, Schellsburg. Member of Maple Spring Church of the Brethren, Truth Seekers Sunday School Class. Army veteran of World War II, he received the Purple Heart. Former employee of U.S. Steel Corp. Retired dairy farmer. Death ends a marriage union of 53 years. Family receiving friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the George E. Mason Funeral Home Inc., Davidsville, and from 9 a.m. until the time of service at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Maple Spring Church of the Brethren, the Rev. Roger Forry. Interment, church cemetery.
