Ott Sr., 74, Greensburg, went home to the Lord Aug. 19, 2000 in the Westmoreland Regional Hospital, Greensburg. Born Aug. 22, 1925 in Somerset County, a son of the late Harvey and Margaret (Arnold) Ott. In addition to his parents, predeceased by two brothers, Sylvester and Charles Ott and two sisters, Frances Marston and Myrtle Painter. Survived by his wife, Hannah (McKenna) Ott; two sons, R. Ernest "Ernie" Ott and his wife Jennie of Greensburg and Christopher E. Ott and his fiancee Eldora Brown of Greensburg; 3 grandchildren. Roy, Emily and Joseph Ott; two brothers, Donald Ott and his wife Dorcas of Idaho and Robert Ott and his wife Mary of Alabama; four sisters, Sylvia Berkebile, Elvie Rowser and her husband Sheldon, Martha Houts and her husband Charles and Dollie Champanella, all of Hooversville; a number of nieces and nephews and a sister-in-law, Mary Lou McKenna of Greensburg. Prior to his retirement, he had been employed by the American Forge Co. in Pittsburgh and during his retirement he worked with his sons at Horning Printing Company in Greensburg. He was a member of the First Lutheran Church of Greensburg where he served as an usher and also a member of the Friday Night Mixed Bowling League at the South Main Bowling Center in Greensburg. A veteran of World War II having served in the U.S. Army. Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday and from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the Barnhart Funeral Home, 505 E. Pittsburgh St., Greensburg. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the First Lutheran Church with the Rev. E. Allen Scanlon and the Rev. Craig T. Hess co-officiating. Interment will follow in the Westmoreland County Memorial Park. Should friends desire, memorials may be placed with either the First Lutheran Church, 246 S.
