Accident, Md., formerly of Springs, went to be with the Lord Jan. 11, 1998 at Meyersdale Medical Center. Born March 9, 1907 in Springs, he was a son of the late Daniel D. and Mary (Maust) Otto. He was preceded in death by his wife Barbara L. (Wisseman ) Otto, March 4 1993, two brothers Roy and Lloyd Otto and a sister Cora Otto. Mr. Otto was a member and former pastor of Springs Mennonite Church. He also was interim pastor for Bethesda Church of the Brethren for a number of years. He was a retired part owner of Otto Brick and Tile, Springs. He is survived by three sons, Darrel Otto, Wheat Ridge, Col., Bradley Otto, Springs, Robert Otto, Brussels, Belgium, 8 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. Friends will be received at the Newman Funeral Home, Grantsville, Md. from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday. Services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Springs Mennonite Church with the Rev. Steven Heatwole officiating. Interment will be in the Springs Cemetery. The body will be taken to church one hour prior to services.
