Edward Ours, 67, of RD 1, Oakland, Md.: died Wednesday, Oct. 8, 1986 at the Garrett County Memorial Hospital. Born in Parkersburg, W. Va., on April 7 1919, he was the son of the late Isacc and Catherine (Crider) Ours, He formerly was employed as a laborer. Surviving are his widow, Lavada (Slider) Ours; two sons, Burl E. Ours, RD 1, Oakland, and Luther I. Ours, Warrenton, Va.; eight daughters, Miss Drucilla Ours, Terra Alta, W. Va.; Mrs. Roxanne L. Nuzum, RD 1 Oakland; Mrs. Dorothy Detrick, Mrs. Eva McKenzie and Mrs. Nancy Wakefield, all of Friendsville, Md.; Mrs. Shirley A. Lescelius, Denver, Colo.; Mrs. Doris Bittinger, McHenry, and Mrs. Darlene Murphy, Swanton, Md; one brother, Eston Ours, Berkeley Springs, W. Va.; one sister, Mrs. Arvella Brown, Salisbury, 15 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Friends were received in Newman Funeral Home where services were conducted Saturday at 1 p.m. by the Rev. Billy A. Foster. Interment, Blooming Rose Cemetery Pallbearers were David McKenzie, William Detrick, Floyd Detrick, David Lantz, David Lantz, Jr. and Lewis Nuzum.
