Overbeck, 66, RD 2 Albright, W.Va., formerly of Boswell, died March 20, 1986, at Mesa Lutheran Hospital, Mesa, Ariz. Born Oct. 29, 1919, in Albright, son of Louis and Nell (Metheny) Overbeck. Preceded in death by parents; son, Roger Keith. Survived by widow, formerly Betty Jean Spory; four daughters, Vicky Jean, wife of Joseph Shreve, Princeton, W.Va,; Kathy Ann, wife of Robert DeWitt, Bruceton Mills, W.Va.; Donna Linn, wife of Joseph Broslawsky, Buckhannon, W.Va.; Cindy Elaine, Phoenix, Ariz., and four grandchildren. Brother of Roy, Boswell RD 3; and Edith Stern, Washington Crossing, Pa. Member of Albright United Methodist Church. Army veteran of World War II, served in Pacific Theater. Retired postmaster in Albright with over 20 years of service. Friends received 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Monday at Hoffman Funeral home, Allegheny Street, Boswell, where services will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, the Rev. Jonas Johnson. Interment, Mt. Zion Cemetery.
