(Somerset, Pa.): January 27, 1892 Catharine, wife of Mr. Charles W. Pugh, of Stoystown, died at home, Tuesday last, at noon, after an illness of fifteen years, of asthma. She was born in Stoystown in 1844 and was married about twenty-five years since. Three daughters were born to Mr. and Mrs. Pugh, one of whom is dead. The surviving are Miss Carrie, who is at home, and Mame, wife of Mr. Owen Morgan, of Johnstown. Her maiden name was Custer, and she was a daughter of the late Jacob Custer, who. forty years ago. ran a large mill at Shade Furnace, near Hillsboro. Three of her sisters and three of her brothers, namely Misses Eliza, Lizzie, and Mrs. Clara Hendricks, of Stoystown; Samuel Custer, proprietor of the Custer House, of Stoystown; George who is living with his brother Samuel, and John, of Harrisburg, survive. She was a member of the Stoystown Lutheran Church.
