Born March 28, 1926 in Acme. Son of Ellsworth William and Mary Catherine (Snively) Palmer. Preceded in death by parents, son Allen Richard Palmer who died June 7, 1980, a brother Robert Palmer, and a sister, Gail Swope. Survived by wife, the former Arlene Rena (Miller) to whom he was married 48 years, daughter Mrs. Douglas A. (Barbara) Heiple of Somerset and two granddaughters, Amanda and Allison Heiple Brother of Mrs. Harry (Frieda) Bowen of Newberry Springs, Calif.; Mrs. Henry (Phyllis) Miller of Rancho Cucamonga, Calif.; Donald Palmer of LaPorta, Ind., and Mrs. Ernie (Patricia) Wymer of Hesperia, Calif. Member of Mount Calvary Lutheran Church, World War II veteran serving in the U.S. Marine Corps. Also member of Lodge 358 F& AM Jaffa Shrine Harrisburg Consistory, Bakersville Volunteer Fire Department. Former owner of Palmers Service Station, Bakersville and driver for Luther P. Miller, retiring in 1980. Friends, received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home, Somerset, where services will be held conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, Rev. Edward W.
