  Verna M. Panek, 74, 60 Water St., Jenners, died Nov. 7, 1988, at Lee
  Hospital.  Born Feb. 10, 1914, in Listie, daughter of John and Mary
  (Brasko) Pishko.  Preceded in death by parents; husband, Bernard C.,
  who died July 22, 1977; sister, Anna Vesek; brothers: Michael and
  John.  Survived by these children: Dr. Bernard S., married to the
  former Trevah Gordon; John, married to the former Dolores Pelesky,
  both of Johsntown; Robert, married to the former Georgiann Orlandi,
  Stoystown RD 1; Bernadette, wife of Donald Stutzman, Berlin RD 4;
  Mary Ann, wife of Barry Spangler, Salix; and Steven, married to the
  former Susan Berkey, at home; 12 grandchildren.  Sister of: Mary
  Migut, Jenners; and Helen Turchek, Cleveland, Ohio.  Member of St.
  Joseph's Catholic Church, Jenners, and St. Anne's Sodality.  Retired
  employee of Green Gables, Jennerstown, with 17 years service.  Friends
  received 7-9 p.m. Tuesday, and 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday at Hoffman
  Funeral Home, Allegheny Street, Boswell, where wake service will be
  held at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday.  Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m.
  Thursday at St. Joseph's Church, with the Rev. Hilary Brzostowsky
  O.F.M. Conv. officiating.  Interment, St. Stanislaus Cemetery.
  Memorial contributions to Boswell Volunteer Fire Department would be
  appreciated.
