  JOSEPH T. PANIK 
  
  Joseph T. Panik, 71, of Rockwood died Dec. 5, 1982, in his home.  He
  was born Oct. 20, 1911, in Ansparich, Pa., a son of Julius and Mary
  (Prokanvy) Panik.  He is survived by his wife, Althea (Schafer) Panik,
  of Rockwood; three daughters: Mrs. William (Mary Lou) Lamp, Rockwood;
  Mrs. Sue O'Neil and Mrs. Barbara Melovich, both of Arcadia, Calif.; a
  brother, Steve Panik of Rockwood RD 3; and three sisters: Mrs. Olga
  Ventre, Detroit, Mich.; Mrs. Wilma Henry, Rockwood; and Mrs. Emily
  Landon of Washington state.  He was a veteran of World War II.  Funeral
  mass was held in the SS. Philip and James Catholic Church, Meyersdale,
  the Rev. Fr. Clark George officiating.  Interment, church cemetery.
