Parish, 67, of Star Route 1, died Wednesday, Dec. 18, 1985, at the Veterans Administration Medical Center in Martinsburg. Born at Reeses Mill on May 23, 1918, he was a son of Mrs. Mary (Martin) Parish, Keyser, and the late Elijah S. Parish. He was a retired carpenter, having worked out of Carpenters Local 1024 in Cumberland, Md. He served in the Army in WW II and was a member of Nancy Hanks Post 3518, Veterans of Foreign Wars, Keyser, W. Va. Besides his mother, he is survived by his widow, the former Violet G. Horror; one son, Paul E. Parish, Cumberland, Md.; one daughter, Mrs. Sandra Kay Warne, Grantsville, Md.; two stepsons: Galen Ray Whitacre, Hanover; Daryle Lee Whitacre, Chambersburg; two brothers: Arthur K. Parish, Keyser, W. Va.; Elijah S. Parish Jr., Slanesville. Also surviving are six sisters: Mrs. Ethel Miller, Mrs. Justine Faulk and Mrs. Dorothy Liller, all of Keyser, W. Va.; Mrs. Alice House, Midland, Md.; Mrs. Lena Amtower, Laurel Dale; Mrs. Edna Kasmier, McColle, Md.; one granddaughter and four step grandchildren. Friends were received at the Rotruck Funeral Home, Keyser, W. Va., where services were conducted Saturday at 1 p.m. by Chaplain Howard L. Fulk, of the Martinsburg VA Center.
