Parker, 59, Industry, formerly of Somerset, died March 27, 2008, in Pittsburgh. Born Jan. 1, 1949, in Confluence, the son of the late James T. "Bus" and Nina (Burnworth) Parker. Survived by stepmother, Iona (Henry) Parker, Somerset; wife, Robin (Nichol) Parker; children, Nina "Kristi" Parker, Industry; and Brett Parker, Allison Park; and grandson, Nathan Parker. Brother of James T. Parker III and wife, Dianne, McKean; Phillip P. Parker and wife, Daria, Buffalo Mills. Also survived by beloved mother-in-law, brothers- and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and friends. He was a 1966 graduate of Somerset High School and a 1971 graduate of Slippery Rock, where he obtained a master's equivalent in education. Retired teacher from Burgettstown School District after 35 years of service. Member of PSEA-R and a social member of the American Legion in Midland. Friends received from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday in the Robert H. Halverson Funeral Home, Somerset, where service will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday. The Rev. Eric C. Raygor officiating. Interment in Johnson Chapel Cemetery, Confluence. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to American Cancer Society, 168 West Union St., Somerset, PA 15501.
