"Bus" 04/18/05 Daily American James T. "Bus" Parker, 88, Somerset, beloved husband and father, died April 17, 2005, at Siemon Lakeview Manor. Born June 22, 1916, in Briar Hill, the son of the late James T. and Mary Ellen (King) Parker. Also preceded in death by his first wife, Nina (Burnworth) Parker; grandson, Maxx James Parker and brother and sister-in-law, Harold L. and Eunice Parker. Survived by wife, Iona (Henry) Parker; sons, James T. Parker III and wife, Dianne, McKean; Gary S. Parker and wife, Robin, Industry and Phillip P. Parker and wife, Daria, Buffalo Mills; grandchildren, Leslie Kast, Nina K., Brett and Katherine Parker. Member of Calvary United Methodist Church, Antique Motorcycle Club of America, Sugar Bush Car Club and Antique Car Club of America. He came to Somerset in 1948 to open a Harley Davidson Motorcycle Shop. He was an avid motorcyclist and the father of motorcycles in Somerset. A 1934 graduate of Redstone High School. Proud veteran of World War II, serving with the 1st Armored Division in Africa and Italy. Friends received 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday in the Robert H. Halverson Funeral Home, Somerset, where a celebration of his life will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday. The Rev. Raymond Lyon officiating. Interment in Johnson Chapel Cemetery, Confluence.
