Patten, 88, North Bloomfield, Ohio, formerly of Markleton, died Aug. 12, 1989, in Village Square Nursing Home, Orivell, Ohio. Born Aug. 3, 1901, in Markleton, daughter of the late Silas and Dora (Nicholson) Dwire. Preceded in death by four brothers and sisters, also first husband, Clifford Sechler in 1931, and second husband, Leo Patten in 1976. Survived by children: Clarence Sechler, Warren, Ohio; Silas Sechler, Hermitage, Pa.; Mrs. Paul (Jean) Bazilius, North Bloomfield, Ohio; and 12 grandchildren. Sister of Ida Marker and Frank Dwire, both of Markleton, Mrs. Jay (Estella) Houpt, Rockwood, and Jack Dwire of Vandergrift. Former school teacher. Member of Otterbein United Methodist Church, Warren, Ohio. Friends may call from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday at Wilbur D. Miller Funeral Home, where service will be conducted Wednesday at 1 p.m. Rev.
