He was a son of the late Joseph Patton, who for some years was a farmer in Elk Lick Township, and later conducted a hotel at West Salisbury for several years, and then located with his family in Akron, Ohio. George Patton was a resident of Akron, Ohio, ever since locating there in 1916, and is survived by his wife, Ruth, and two daughters, Mrs. Ruth Grissinger of Akron, and Mrs. Iva Schwarz of Shaker Heights, Ohio, and a sister, Mrs. Emma Folk of Windham, Ohio. For some years he profitably operated Patton's Fast Freight, a trucking business. He was an elder of Trinity Evangelical and Reformed Church, where funeral services were held last Saturday at 2:30 p.m. Interment was in Glendale Cemetery. Meyersdale Republican, April 1, 1943
