(Shick) Patula, 91, of Westmont, formerly of Ott Road, Hollsopple RD, died Oct. 12, 2003 at the Laurelwood Care Center. Born Sept. 28, 1912 in Latrobe, the daughter of Ernest and Elizabeth (Carey) Shick. Preceded in death by parents husband of 68 years Thomas F. Sept. 17, 1998, infant daughter Juniata, grandson Paul F. Bako, son-in-law William A. Pilat, two sisters and two brothers. Survived by daughters Henrietta Bako-Pilat, Johnstown and Loretta Keohan, Melrose, Mass. and son Thomas, married to Elaine Amistadi, Johnstown, seven grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. A member of St. Anne Catholic Church, Davidsville, Legion of Mary Altar and Rosary Society and the Association of the Miraculous Medal. Last surviving member of her immediate family. Retired employee of the former Dorfman and Hoffman Garment Factories both in Jerome and Boswell. Was an avid seamstress and master quilter. Also enjoyed canning fruits and vegetables from her garden and playing bingo. Friends received from 2 until 9 p.m. Wednesday at the Hoffman Funeral Home, Rt. 403 and Church Road, Davidsville where a vigil for the deceased will be held Wednesday afternoon.
