  DANIEL U. PAUL 
  
  Daniel U. Paul, 88, of Garrett, formerly of Rockwood, died April 7,
  in Somerset Community Hospital.  He was born March 7, 1888 in Cambria
  County, a son of Benjamin and Clara Maffet Paul.  He is survived by
  his wife, Alice of the County Home for the Aged, Berlin; a daughter,
  Mrs. William Albright of Conemaugh; two brothers, James A. of
  Somerset and Maurice of Hart, Mich.; a sister, Mrs. Rachael Saylor of
  Berlin; a sister-in-law, Mrs. Florence A. Heining of Garrett, (with
  whom he resided); four grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
  He was preceded in death by his first wife, Elizabeth Hitchew Paul in
  1921.  Services were conducted April 10 at the William H. Wood Funeral
  Home with the Rev. Dwayne Johnson officiating.  Interment was in
  Rockwood I.O.O.F. Cemetery.
