  George W. Paul, 77, Meyersdale RD 3, died March 19, 1990, at
  Shadyside Hospital, Pittsburgh.  Born April 14, 1912, in Greenville
  Township, son of the late Jacob and Sarah (Miller) Paul.  Preceded in
  death by wife, the former Melda Schafer.  Survived by two daughters,
  Mrs. Shirley Cain, Keyser, W.Va., and Mrs. Joan Beal, Pittsburgh.
  Also one sister, Mrs. Ida Swartzwelder, Salisbury.  Four grandchildren
  and one great-granddaughter.  He was a farmer.  Member of Greenville
  Lutheran Church.  Former Greenville Township supervisor and school
  director.  Member of Somerset County Maple Producers Association.
  Friends received from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday at Thomas Funeral
  Home, Salisbury.  Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at
  the Greenville Lutheran Church, with Rev. David E. Fetter
  officiating.  Interment, Greenville Cemetery.  The body will lie in
  state at the church Thursday from 10 a.m. until time of service.
