The cause of his death was coronary thrombosis. He was ill only three days. He was a son of the late Christian and Magdalene Werner Paul. He is survived by his wife, Sarah Miller Paul, and these children: Minerva, wife of Albert Meyers, Meyersdale, R.D. 3; Ida, wife of Guy Swartzwelder, Salisbury; Edna, wife of William Huff, of Provo, Utah; Walter, Meyersdale, R.D. 3, and James, at home. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren, and these four brothers and two sisters: Henry and Adam Paul of Frostburg, Md.; Herman Paul, present address unknown, and Calvin Paul, Meyersdale, R.D.; Mrs. Simon Baer of Greenville Township, and Mrs. Edward Rickard, Meyersdale, R.D. 2. Funeral services were held in the Greenville Lutheran Church, of which Mr. Paul was a faithful member. The services were conducted by his pastor, Rev. S. D. Sigler of Salisbury, at 2:30 p.m., last Sunday. Interment was in the church cemetery, under the direction of Stanley M. Thomas, mortician, of Salisbury. Mr. Paul had many friends in his home community who will miss him. Meyersdale Republican, January 28, 1943
