  Melda C. Paul, 69, Meyersdale RD 3, died July 8, 1984, in Sacred
  Heart Hospital, Cumberland, Md.  Born July 29, 1914, in Summit
  Township, daughter of late Charles and Lucinda (Sanner) Schafer.
  Survived by husband, George W.; two daughters, Mrs. Shirley Cain,
  Keyser, W.Va.; and Mrs. Joan Beal, Pittsburgh; one sister, Mrs.
  Althea Panik, Rockwood; and three brothers, Irvin and Webster, both
  of Meyersdale; and Oscar, Garrett RD 1; also four grandchildren.
  Member of Greenville Lutheran Church.  Friends will be received from
  2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday (today) at Thomas Funeral Home, Salisbury.
  Service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Greenville Lutheran
  Church, the Rev. David E. Fetter officiating.  Interment, Greenville
  Cemetery.  Body will lie in state at church from 10 a.m. until time of
  service.
