  Sophia E. Paul, 86, of Shanksville, died Dec. 14, 1982, at Donahoe
  Manor Nursing Home, Bedford.  Born March 27, 1896, in Shanksville,
  daughter of Edward F. and Phoebe (Sivits) Will.  Preceded in death by
  parents; husbands: Ralph R. Whitaker and William H. Paul; son, Donald
  Paul; two infant daughters; grandson, Joey Oravec; four sisters and
  three brothers.  Survived by these children: Mrs. Joseph (Kathleen)
  Oravec, Alexandria, Va.; William Whitaker, New Port Richey, Fla.;
  R.B."Dutch" Whitaker, with whom she resided; Mrs. Jerry (Genevieve)
  Shull, of Ocala, Fla.: James Paul, of Bradenton, Fla.; Timmy Paul
  Miller, Rock Springs, Wyo.; 13 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren;
  and four great-great-grandchildren.  Lifelong member of Shanksville
  United Methodist Church.  Family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m.
  Thursday and 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday at the Deaner Funeral Home,
  Stoystown.  Remains will be removed to Shanksville United Methodist
  Church to lie in state from 1 p.m. until services at 2 p.m. on
  Saturday, with the Rev. Marlin A. Miller officiating.  Interment,
  Walker Cemetery, Shanksville.
