Paxton, 81, of Windber, died May 16, 1999, at the Church of the Brethren Home. Born Oct. 14, 1917, in Coal Run, Somerset County, daughter of the late Martin and Tillie Pohlit. Preceded in death by brother, George, and sister, Mary. Survived by husband, George W., and daughters: Betty Christina, Sidman; Margie Petrilla, York, and Judith, wife of Steve Faher, Windber. Also grandchildren: Diane Seese, Valerie Pcola, Lisa Swinger, Stacey and Nicole Faher and Greg and Kevin Petrilla and five great grandchildren. Sister of Charles Pohlit and wife, Mary Ellen, Johnstown; Nick Pohlit, Denver; Steve Pohlit, Johnstown; Helen Roman, Florida; Julia, wife of George Kramer, Erie, and Mike Pohlit and wife, Bertha, Listie. Member of the Secular Franciscans at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, Windber, where funeral mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday.
