Peachey, 70, 1023 Springs Road, Springs, died Oct. 24, 1997, at his residence. Born Feb. 9, 1921, at Belleville, he was a son of the late Menno S. and Sadie (Bender) Peachey. He was preceded in death by a brother, Daniel, of Oakland, Md. Survivors include his wife, Dora A. (Yoder) Peachey; 4 sons, Olen S. Peachey, Friedens, Roy Peachey, Springs, Joseph and Edwin Peachey, both of Meyersdale; 3 daughters, Amanda, wife of J. Homer Kinsinger and Nettie, wife of Samuel F. Yoder, both of Salisbury, Sadie Peachey, at home; 2 brothers, Alvin Peachey, Fort Hill, and Noah Peachey, Oakland, Md.; a sister, Katie, wife of Joseph A. Yoder, Meyersdale, and 39 grandchildren. He was a member of Niverton Old Order Amish Church and was a farmer. Friends will be received at the residence after noon on Saturday until Tuesday morning. Services will be conducted at 9:30 a.m., Tuesday, at Niverton Old Order Amish Church with Bishop Bennie A. Yoder officiating. Interment, Church Cemetery.
