Peck, 75, Meyersdale RD 1, died April 27, 1972, in Somerset Community Hospital. Born Feb. 14, 1897, in Elk Lick Township, he was a son of the late Elder Lewis and Anna (Baer) Peck. He was preceded in death by his wife, the former Ada M. Fike. Surviving are a daughter, Miss Reta Peck, Meversdale RD 1: a sister, Miss Olive Peck, Fort Hill RD 1; and a brother-in-law, Frank J. Fike, Meyersdale RD 1. A retired prominent farmer of Summit Township, Mr. Peck formerly served as a member of the school board of Meyersdale and also of Somerset County Board of Education. He was a member of Meyersdale Church of the Brethren, where he was active in many capacities, including the Men's Chorus, which he helped to organize in 1936. Funeral service was held Sunday afternoon in Price Funeral Home, Meyersdale, with Rev. John Glick and Rev. Daniel Whitacre officiating. Interment in Union Cemetery, Meyersdale.
