(Jack) Peck, 74, of Somerset, died March 25, 2000, at Somerset Hospital. He was raised in the Church of the Brethren and knew Jesus Christ as his savior. Born Jan. 14, 1926 in Accident, Md., son of the late John E. and Lilly (Davis) Peck. Preceded in death by parents and brother, Arthur K. Peck. Survived by the following children: Beth Ann Wheary and Donald Gerry Peck, both of Lancaster and Carla Bertelle, Allentown: four grandchildren. Brother of Nellie Bishop of Friendsville, Md., John Elwood Peck of Philadelphia and June E. Coughenour of Berlin. Also survived by a sister-in-law, Orpha Peck, Meyersdale. Graduated from Penn State University. Taught in the Lancaster Area School Systems. Veteran of World War II. Graveside service at the convenience of the family at Somerset County Memorial Park under the direction of Miller Funeral Home, Somerset.
