Peck Sr., 69, West Main Street, Somerset, died Feb. 8, 1994, in Somerset Hospital. Born Aug. 10, 1924, in Ridgeview Park, Westmoreland County, son of the late Edgar and Ora (Sharrah) Peck. Preceded in death by parents; daughter, Laurel Kea; half sisters, Nana M. Berkley and Frances B. Koehler, and half brother, Brinker Berkley. Survived by wife, the former Aileen Rose Mitchem, and these children: Mrs. Kenneth J. (Nanasue) Stairs, Rockwood; Mrs. Karl N. (Kitty) Stahl, Somerset; Robert S. Jr., Lansing, Mich.; A. Mitchell Peck, Plano, Tex., and Brian L., Quecreek; also 8 grandchildren: April and Evan Peck, Heather and Franklin Stairs, Brian and LeAnn Peck and Kari and Kelley Stahl. Member of St. Paul's Presbyterian Church. Life member of Somerset Masonic Lodge 358, F.& A.M. Retired safety inspector for Pennsylvania State Department of Labor and Industry. Worked 17 years for former Penn Furniture Co. Veteran of World War II. Served in U.S. Army 3362nd Army Signal Battalion, A.C.S. Friends received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Robert H. Halverson Funeral Home, where service will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Rev. Keith M. Fink. Interment, Somerset County Memorial Park.
