Born Feb. 2, 1920 in Somerset, daughter of Effie Hauger Dixon and the late D. J. Dixson. Preceded in death by her father and a brother Walter. Survived by her husband, Hugh J. Peeling, a daughter, Mary Alice; three brothers and one sister; Royden Dixson of Tampa, Fla., Dale Dixson of Detroit, Mich; Glenn Dixson of Alexandria, Va.; and Dr. Mary Elizabeth Dixson of Millersville. Member of Trinity Lutheran Church of Somerset; a life member of the American Association of University Women; and the Penn State Alumni Association. A veteran of World War II in U.S. Army Air Corps where she served as a first Lieutenant. Memorial services will be held at St. John's Episcopal Church, Concordville, Saturday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Edward W. Battin, Rector. Interment, Philadelphia National Memorial. Gifts may be made to the Arthritis Foundation, 311 S. Juniper St., Philadelphia, Pa. 19107.
