  June W. (Newman) Peffer, 84, Church of the Brethren Home, Scalp
  Level, formerly of Jennerstown, died Oct. 19, 1994, at the home.  Born
  July 15, 1910, in Boswell, daughter of Charley J. Newman and Cynthia
  (Wright) Newman-McCoy.  Preceded in death by parents and husband, John
  L.  "Larry" Feb. 3, 1986.  Survived by brother, Covelle J., married to
  Sarah Easton, Boswell RD 2 and Naples, Fla.; nieces, Holly Newman,
  Boston, Mass.; Beth and Laurel Newman, both of Atlanta, Ga., and
  nephew, Chris Newman, Poland, Ohio.  Also survived by several
  great-nieces and nephews.  Member of Moxham Colonial Church of the
  Brethren, Johnstown.  Former member of the Soroptimist Club, Somerset
  County.  Graduate of the former Boswell High School, Class of 1927.
  Along with father and brother, operated the former Jenner Pines
  Restaurant and Cottages, Jennerstown, for many years.  Friends
  received from 10 a.m. until the time of service at 1 p.m. Saturday at
  the Hoffman Funeral Home, Allegheny Street, Boswell, the Rev. Paul W.
  Stauffer officiating.  Interment, Jenner Crossroads Cemetery.
