Peiffer, 64, Somerset, died Feb. 19, 1989, in Somerset Hospital. Born Jan. 14, 1925, in Stoystown, daughter of the late Donald Cameron and Jennie Belle (Stahl) Specht. Also preceded by a sister, Marie. Survived by husband, Dr. Glenn W. Peiffer Jr., and these children: William D. Floyd Jr., Johnstown; Daniel S. Floyd, Somerset; Mark C. "Duffy" Floyd, Reading; stepchildren: Mrs. James (Ann) Pfrogner, Baltimore, Md.; and Glenn W. "Pete" Peiffer III, Brandon, Vt.; also 5 grandchildren. Sister of: Mrs. Frances Schrader and Frank S. Specht, both of Stoystown; Mrs. Carl (Ruth) Richter, Glen Head, N.Y.; and Mrs. Dolores Berkebile, San Diego, Calif. Member of St. Paul's United Presbyterian Church and the Somerset Garden Club. Operated a beauty salon in Somerset from 1950-73, and was retired in 1985 as a caseworker from Somerset office Dept. of Public Assistance. Friends received 7-9 p.m. Monday and 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday, at Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home, where service will be held 1 p.m. Wednesday with Rev. Douglas A. Rehberg and Rev. Dr. William T. Doncaster Jr. officiating. Interment, Somerset County Memorial Park. Family requests contributions to the American Cancer Society, South Lynn Ave., Somerset, 15501.
