Pekar, 76, Toms River, N.J., died March 27, 2006, at Country Manor Nursing Home. She was born and lived in Somerset and Ocala, Fla. moving to Toms River in the early 1980s and has been a resident of Country Manor for the last three years. She is survived by five children, Katherine Kilfara, George Maxey, Charles Maxey, Linda Williams and Rey Solis. Also survived by four siblings, Mary Bowman, Eilene Altmiller, Charles Trout and Roy Trout; also many grand-children and great-grandchildren. She was a loving mother and grandmother. She was a member of the East Dover Baptist Church. A memorial service will be held 12 p.m. April 15 at the Christ Episcopal Church, Toms River. Interment will follow in the Church's Memorial Garden. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to the Church's Memorial Garden Fund or Interfaith Hospitality. Both may be sent in care of Christ Episcopal Church, 415 Washington St., Toms River, NJ 08753. Anderson & Campbell Funeral Home, Toms River, is in charge of arrangements.
