(Reffner) Pelesky, 64, Jenners, died of a rare muscular disease, June 14, 2003 at UPMC Lee Regional. Born Feb. 7, 1939 in Jenners, daughter of Norman J. "Plug" and Helen (Ponsok) Reffner. Preceded in death by father and infant son, Joseph Norman. Survived by mother of Jenners; husband, Joseph; sons, Frank J., and Joseph S., both at home, and Michael J., married to former Kristy Bloom, Philipsburg; and grandsons, Andrew S. Bloom and Thomas Michael Pelesky. Sister of Diane, married to Philip Fritz, and Dwin, married to Patrick Dunchak, both of Greensburg, and James "Porter," married to the former Dorothy Stoppe, Gilbert, and Gertrude, married to Nick Pelesky, all of Jenners. Also survived by godchildren, Kimberly Shaw, Jennerstown and Nicholas Andrew Pelesky, Jenners; caregivers, Evelyn Pelesky and Irene Kovach, both of Jenners; numerous nieces and nephews and best friend, Mary Fedinatz, Jenners. She lovingly cared for her husband and sons throughout her life. Her last message from her sons was "Mom, you did your very best for us, we could not ask for anyone better, Thanks, Love, Frank, Mike and Joe." Her last message from her husband was "Pat, I love you." She was a member of St. Mary's Orthodox Greek Catholic Church, Jenners, where she was president of the Altar Society. She would have celebrated her 40th wedding anniversary on Aug. 31, 2003. A 1957 graduate of former J.B.J. Joint High School. A seamstress for the former Dorfman & Hoffman Garment Factory until her marriage. She enjoyed crocheting and making ceramics and other crafts. Friends received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at Hoffman Funeral Home, Main Street, Boswell, where Parastas will be sung at 7 p.m. Monday and Panachida will be held at 9:15 a.m. Tuesday. Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Mary's Church, Jenners, the Rev. Father Sergei Alekseez. Interment, church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Pat's name may be given to St. Mary's Church General Fund, 5222 Front St., Jenners, Pa., 15546. Daily American, June 16, 2003 [P0299]
