  WILLIAM PELICAN 
  
  William Pelican, 71, of 161 Green Street, Frostburg, Md., died Nov.
  20, 1978 at Memorial Hospital, Cumberland, Md., shortly after being
  admitted.  Born in Pekin, Md., he was a son of the late Albert and
  Elizabeth (Crowe) Pelican.  His wife, Laura (Winebrenner) Pelican,
  also preceded him in death.  He was a retired brakeman for the B&O
  Railroad.  Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Esther Tomlinson, LaVale,
  Md., and Mrs. Lillian Green, Accident, Md., two sisters, Mrs. Lillie
  Canna, Bowling Green, Md., and Mrs. Julie Bennet, Baltimore, Md.; and
  five grandchildren.  Friends were received at the Durst Funeral Home,
  where services were conducted with the Rev. John Bayley Jones
  officiating.  Interment, Frostburg Memorial Park.
