Penn, an uncle of Floyd Keefer, Second National Bank clerk, Meyersdale, died recently at Hazel Green, Wisconsin, at the age of 70 years. He was born Oct. 16, 1875, at Berlin, Pa., and was married Feb. 22, 1899. Entering the ministry the same year, he held pastorates since then in the West Virginia, Iowa, and West Wisconsin conferences of the Methodist Church. In the latter conference he was pastor at Mondovi, First church of Eau Claire, Portage, Monroe, Barron, Superior, Mineral Point, Black River Falls, Cumberland, Spooner, Marshfield, and finally the last five years at Hazel Green. He was president of the Annuity and Pension society of the West Wisconsin conference for many years. Surviving are his wife, Alice; three daughters, Mrs. H. A. Jeep, Muncie, Ind.; Mrs. W. E. Turner, Nashville, Tenn., and Mrs. P. O. Johnson, Middleton, Wis.; two sons, W. Keith Penn, Milwaukee, and John S. Penn, Grand Forks, N.D., and seven grandchildren.
