  Karen L. Penrod, 42, Randall Drive, Boswell RD 2, formerly of Thomas
  Mills, died Sept. 23, 1998, at Memorial Medical Center, Johnstown.
  Born June 26, 1956, in Johnstown, daughter of John W. and Laura
  (StClair) Penrod.  Preceded in death by father on June 18, 1993, and
  brother, Gerald N. on Aug. 14, 1998.  Survived by mother; daughter,
  Laura Lee, both at home; brothers: Randy J., married to the former
  Luann Watkins, Jenners; Barry A. and fiance Tina Kline, and William
  J., both of Boswell RD 2; and Robert E., Boswell RD 1; nieces and
  nephews: Rana, Jonathan and Barry Alan Penrod and Matthew Smith.  Also
  a very special friend, Terry Winters, Boswell.  She was a nurses aide
  at Somerset Hospital for 22 years.  Friends received from 2-4 and 7-9
  p.m. Thursday at Hoffman Funeral Home, Allegheny Street, Boswell.
  Viewing also from 10 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m. Friday
  at Mt. Laurel United Church of Christ, near Gray, with the Rev. Joseph
  M. Beer and the Rev. Alan W. Hess officiating.  Interment, Beam
  Cemetery.  Memorials in Karen's name may be made to the Mt. Laurel
  U.C.C. Building Fund, 1209 Keysertown Road, Boswell, 15531.
