He had spent the greater part of Tuesday in fishing a small stream near his home and had just finished putting his fishing tackle away when he dropped dead. He was born January 25, 1857. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Mary Penrod, and these children: Mrs. Robert Crissey, of Hooversville; Mrs. Milton Shaffer, of Paint Township; Mrs. Milton Weaver, who resides on the old homestead in Paint Township; Irvin W. Penrod, of Moxham; Lewis C. Penrod, of Windber, and Mrs. Willis Trimmer. He also is survived by 25 grandchildren and eight great- grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted Friday morning, at the Berkey Church of the Brethren. Services at the church were conducted by Rev. J. J. Shaffer, of Hollidaysburg, assisted by Rev. Graham, pastor of the Berkey church. Interment was made in the church cemetery. Six grandsons of the deceased will serve as pallbearers. Meyersdale Republican, April 24, 1930
