Born July 28, 1932, in Friedens, the daughter of Charles A. Ash and Bessie Grace (Moore) Ash-Skaptaukas. Preceded in death by parents and brothers, Henry L. and Leroy M. Ash. Survived by husband, Anthony Pensiero, to whom she was married 47 years; children, Mrs. Edwin (Diane) Esteves, Boynton Beach, Fla.; and John M. "Jack" Pensiero, married to the former Betsy Ross, Somerset; grandchildren, Kelsey Jean Esteves and Matthew Esteves, both of Boynton Beach, Fla.; Chad Pensiero and wife Melissa, Tannerville; Mrs. Michael (Jill) Haer, Ocean Pines, Md.; Julie Pensiero and friend John Koltay, Bellefonte; and great-grandson Nolan Haer. Also survived by sister, Mrs. D. Elaine Pyle-Bray, Chapin, S.C.; and foster sister, Mrs. Josephine Bittner, Cleveland, Ohio. She was a co owner/ operator, along with her husband, of Circle 219 Restaurant from 1958 until her retirement in 2001. Also a member of First Christian Church and the Ladies Auxiliaries of Elks Lodge in Meyersdale, VFW Post 7295 in Berlin and American Legion Post 181. Friends received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the Hauger- Zeigler Funeral Home, Somerset, and one hour prior to service, which will be conducted 1 p.m. Saturday. Interment Beams Cemetery.
