Pensiero, 92, formerly of Macdonaldton, died Nov. 27, 2001 at the Tolstoy Home in Valley Cottage, N.Y. Born April 9, 1909 in New York, she made her home in Macdonaldton until 1996 at which time she went to live with her daughters in Rockland County, N.Y. Preceded in death by parents Anthony and Palma Fortini; brother Eugene Fortini; sister Santina (Sandy) Materaso; and hUsband Victor Pensiero, who died in 1969. Survived by daughters Frances and husband Louis Sasso and Mary Angela (Angie) and husband James Scaringe, all of New York; and Bons Frank, Anthony and wife lean, and Daniel and wife Sherren, all of Somerset. Also survived by brothers and sisters elsie Pieroni, Adolph (Rudy) Fortini, Rose Fugazzi, Mario (Bill) Fortini and Agnes Sisto; 11 grandchildren James, John, Joseph and Jerry Scaringe, Debi Wheeler, Cheryl and V.J. Pensiero, Diane Esteves and Jack Pensiero and Lisa and Tara Pensiero; eight great-grandchildren Danielle and Gabrielle Scaringe, Petey Wheeler, Kelsey and Matthew Esteves, and Chad, Jill and Julie Pensiero. Member of St. Gregory's Catholic Church, Macdonaldton, and The Sons of Italy. She was known for her outstanding Italian bread-baking abilities. Family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at Deaner Funeral Home, Berlin, where a vigil for the deceased will be held Friday afternoon.
