Born Sept. i7, 1923, in Jenner Township, son of George and Fannie (Jarosick) Percherke. Preceded in death by parents; sisters: Rose Percherke and Julia Gera; and brothers: Steve, Charles and John. Survived by wife, the former Sally Shonberg; children: Dennis, Seattle, Wash.; Marlene, wife of Brad Mahoney, Eads, Tenn.; Michael, married to Janice Miller, Cloverdale, Va.; and James, married to Candee Well, Vancouver, Wash.; also grandchildren: Joshua, Kaitlyn, Melissa, Tyler and Lauren Percherke. Brother of Anna Zablotney, Jenners; Frances Ankney, Windber; Sue Tomasko, Cleveland, Ohio; Mary Kovach, Rocky River, Ohio; and Andrew, Stoystown RD 1. Member of St. Mary's Orthodox Greek Catholic Church, Jenners, and the Johnstown Elks Lodge. Co-founder of Boswell Athletic and Sportsmen Association. Manager of the former Shonberg's Department Store, Boswell. Navy Veteran of World War II, having served on an L.S.T. In the South Pacific. Friends received from 7-9 Pm. Tuesday and 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday at the Hoffman Funeral Home, Main Street, Boswell, where Parastas will be held at 8 p.m. Wednesday. Panachida at 8:45 am. at the funeral home, followed by divine liturgy at 9:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Mary's Church, with the Rev. Father Michael J. Miklos celebrant.
