Born Sept. 9, 1912, in Somerset County, son of George and Fannie (Jarosick) Percherke. Preceded in death by parents; sisters, Rose Percherke, Julia Gera; and brother, Charles. Survived by wife, former Monica E. Baker; sons: Charles, married to former Christine Byrne, Pittsburgh; George, married to former Nancy Booher, Somerset RD 4; Steve, at home; and Paul, Hollsopple RD 1; 4 grandchildren: Stephanie, John, Tiffany and James. Brother of: Anna Zablotney, Jenners; Mary Kovach, Cleveland, Ohio; Frances Ankeny, Windber; Andrew Stoystown RD 1; Nick, Boswell; and Sue Tomasko, Cleveland, Ohio. Member of St. Mary's Orthodox Catholic Church, Jenners; retired coal operator, Jenner Township Supervisor from 1974 to 1983. Friends received 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday at Hoffman Funeral Home, Main St., Boswell, where Parastas will be held at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday. Panichida 9:15 a.m. Thursday at funeral home followed by Divine Liturgy at 10 a.m., St. Mary's Church wlth Father John A. Baranik. Interment, Somerset County Memorial Park.
