"Ted" Persuhn, 78, Mountain Road, Fairhope, went to be with the Lord on Oct. 6, 1999, at Somerset Hospital. Born July 16, 1921, in Rockwood, son of Harry and Harriet (Cramer) Persuhn. Preceded in death by parents; sons: Ronald and Donald; brothers: Ray and Paul. Survived by his wife of 55 years, the former Ethel Tabak, and these children: Ted, married to the former Connie Albright, Fairhope; Linda L., married to Gary L. Smith, and Mary Jane, married to David Walker, both of Berlin; Marjorie, married to Robert Davis, Jennerstown, and Donna Jean, married to Joseph DeLuca, New York; 20 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Brother of Edward, Central City; Robert, Georgia; Charlotte Bruck, Fairhope, and Mary Deneen, Cairnbrook. Retired from Mark Mining with over 20 years service, he was a former Pinkerton guard, a welder for Highland Tank and a former constable and supervisor for Allegheny Township. World War II Army veteran. Member of Grace Independent Bible Church, Meyersdale. Family will receive friends from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday at Deaner Funeral Home, Berlin, where service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, with Pastor Thomas E. Horner and Pastor Donald Cottrell officiating. Interment, Berlin IOOF Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be given to Grace Independent Bible Church, 211 Old Whittenburg Road, Meyersdale, PA. 15552.
