   Blanche LaVerne Peterman, 73, Friedens, died Feb. 1, 2006, at home. Born Oct. 2, 1932,
  in Berlin (Philson), daughter of Cyrus and Mabel (Shumaker) Sturtz. Preceded in death by
  parents; brothers, Daniel, John, William and Wilbert Sturtz; and sister, Mary Deem.
  Survived by her husband of 56 years, William Peterman Jr.; children, Billie Jean, at
  home; Terry, married to the former Sherry Wildenmann; and Thomas, married to the former
  Amy Rhodamer, both of Friedens; and Timothy, Stoystown; grandchildren, Jamie, Jody,
  Tanner, Abby, Tyler, Jesse and Lindsey Peterman; and a great-granddaughter, Karina
  Peterman. Sister of Cyrus Sturtz, Bedford; Cletus Sturtz, Hooversville; Julia Bridges,
  Rootstown, Ohio; and Raymond Sturtz, Stoystown. Former employee of Somerset Pajama
  Factory. Member of Friedens Lutheran Church. She enjoyed gardening, cooking and her
  grand-children. Family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at Deaner
  Funeral Home, Stoystown. Viewing from 2 p.m. until service at 3 p.m. Saturday at Friedens
  Lutheran Church. The Rev. Edward V. DeVore officiating. Interment Lambertsville Cemetery.
