Peterman Sr., 85, 82 Cloud St., Jenners, formerly of Stoystown RD 3, (Kimmelton) died Feb. 17, 1990, at Somerset Hospital. Born May 20, 1904, in Shade Township. Son of late Jonathan and Myrtle (Brown) Peterman. Preceded in death by wife, former Violet Hippie; brothers, Charles, Howard and Clyde; sisters, Freda and Ivy. Survived by these children; William J. Jr., married to former Blanche Sturtz, and Mrs. Harold (Betty) Hoggard, both of Friedens RD 1; Dorothy Boyer, Stoystown RD 3, and Mrs Glen (Judy) Reckner, Jenners, with whom he resided; also 12 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren. Brother of Kenneth, Ohio, and Ernest, Nanty Glo. Half brother of Sheldon Rowser, Hooversville. Retired coal miner. Worked at Shanksville Auto Co. Member of Mostoller United Methodist Church, leaner Rod and Gun Club and UMWA Local 998, Tire Hill. Social member of Stoystown American Legion. Family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Deaner Funeral Home, Stoystown, where service will be held at 11 am. Wednesday, Rev. David Jack officiating.
