Patriot St., Somerset died July 8, 1973 in the Somerset Community Hospital. Born January 5, 1897 in Carrolltown a son of Daniel and Eliza (Welker) Peters. Preceded in death by his wife Cecilia (James) Peters and daughter Mrs. Joann Durst and four brothers. Survived by his wife Ethel (Barron) Peters and these children: The Rev. Calvin, Buffalo, N.Y., Earl, Lanham, Md. Barry, Somerset RD 6, William II, U.S. Navy, Great Lakes, Ill., and Cathy at home, 12 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, these brothers and sisters Mrs. Rosella Grove, Ebensburg; Byorn, Rockwood; Norman, Pittsburgh and Lester, Dunkirk, N.Y. He was a member of First United Methodist Church of Somerset, veteran of World War I, a member of Somerset VFW Post 554, Somerset FOE and a retired employe of the Somerset Area School district. Friends will be received after 2 p.m. today (Monday) in Robert H. Halverson Funeral Home where services will be conducted Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. with the Rev. Donald Lash officiating.
