He was born at Aurora, W.Va., but lived most of his life near St. Paul, Elk Lick Township, Pa. He was married to Lydia U. Yoder, Sept. 19, 1901. To this union were born four children, namely, Anna, wife of Eli Swartzentruber of Norfolk, Va., Kathryn and Lucy, also of Norfolk, and Jonas, living at home. He is also survived by the following brothers and sisters: Jonas, of Oakland, Md., Leah of Norfolk, Va., and the following half-brothers and sisters; Mary, wife of Daniel Yutzy, Arthur, Ill., and Lavina, who has lived with the Petersheim family. The following preceded him to the Great Beyond: Lydia, wife of Eli Gingerich, Greenwood, Del., and Tobias and Levi of Ohio. One grandchild survives and one preceded him in death about six months ago. Mr. Petersheim had been in poor health for about a year and during the last month or two he was critically ill. On March 6th his children were summoned to his bedside when he became dangerously ill and his daughters, Lydia and Kathryn, remained with him until the end. During most of his last month he was forced to remain in a wheel chair most of the time, due to a complication of heart trouble and other ailments that caused him to be very miserable when reclining. Funeral services were conducted April 2, in the Flag Run meeting house by Joseph J. and Iddo D. Yoder. He was a faithful member of the Amish Mennonite Church since early life and he faced the end with the great fortitude, familiar only to a sincere Christian. Meyersdale Republican, April 14, 1932
